Warranties

Receipts must be provided for all warranty claims.

All Cricket bats will sustain wear and tear during use, this is perfectly natural, and with collision speeds over 100 mph, it is easy to see why. Normal wear and tear expected from a cricket bat blade is surface cracking to the face and edges and discoloration of the blade and in these cases the performance of the bat won't be affected. Damage on the other hand can occur due to misuse, mistimed strokes, incorrect storage, and lack of maintenance, not applying extra tech and use against substandard cricket balls and use in wet conditions. If damage appears on the bat, it should be referred immediately for a repair.

Indoor Cricket Bat Warranty Terms

SCC is proud to supply light weight, poplar willow specialised indoor cricket bats. Your bat is rolled, pressed and ready-to-play. Your bat will incur indentations from the seam from the ball. In time these marks will flatten out. SCC offer a 6 month warranty on the blade and handle (not the toe) under normal use. However we work with any customer to ensure customer satisfaction and concerns are addressed and recorded if any.

Conditions of Warranty

This is a specialised indoor cricket bat and is not warranted for outdoor cricket use of any kind.

Damage to bats is normal and repairs can be done whether under warranty or not. Repair work will be charged to the customer on a case by case basis for damage caused by the following -

  1. Bowling machines – the balls used in these machines can readily damage bats and break handles even at moderate speed due to the hardness of the ball.
  2. Yorker damage and/or jamming down on a ball with force causing damage to the toe as well as crack the handle.
  3. Mistimed shots – leading edges etc can cause damage. Referring to Australian Consumer Law this is ‘abnormal use’. The guarantee of acceptable quality does not apply when the consumer uses the goods in an abnormal manner. Goods are not expected to be indestructible
  4. Water damage – where the toe of the bat swells up
  5. Multiple player use – if many players use the one bat it could have 3-4 seasons use in one and age and damage more than usual.
  6. Grip deterioration
  7. Extratec deterioration

Outdoor Cricket Bat Warranty Terms

SCC offers a 1 season warranty on the handle under normal use. However we work with any customer to ensure customer satisfaction and concerns are addressed and recorded if any.
