SOUTHERN CROSS CRICKET (SCC) PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Southern Cross Cricket (SCC) is committed to supporting the cricketing community across Australia.

We choose to recognise rising talent under the banner of a Partnership rather than a Sponsorship.

There are 3 ways we are able to assist players. These are:

  1. SCC Junior Ambassador – players aged under 15
  2. SCC Rising Star – players aged 16 – 20
  3. Commercial Contract – National or International Players

Application dates and criteria are listed below.

Before we continue – be sure to understand that sponsorships and partnerships are a two way street, we will help you as a talented and committed cricketer, and you in return will be expected to help us by genuinely representing our brand, our product range and our cricketing community to the highest standards.

 

  1. SOUTHERN CROSS CRICKET JUNIOR AMBASSADOR

 

The SCC Junior Ambassador opportunity is available to 10 players per year under the age of 15 who are passionate about their cricket and can demonstrate to us their achievements and goals in writing.

We will be able to offer these 10 players a generous discounted sponsorship package comprising of:

  • 30% off your SCC bat, pads, gloves, bag to help you achieve your cricketing goals.
  • Your bat will be customised to suit your age, height, skills and gender.
  • You will also receive 1 x SCC Polo, 1 x SCC Cap 1 x SCC Hoody

You will be welcomed as an official SCC Junior Ambassador.

In return our expectations are that you represent our brand with pride and say good things about our products to your cricketing mates, family and friends. You will check in with us twice during the season so we can make sure you receive the best advice to look after your gear and help you keep your bat well maintained and your gear looking great.

Letters outlining your achievements for Cricket, personal achievement can be sent to ? during the months of May and June each year. Our 20 players will be selected and notified during the month of July each year.

 

 

  1. SCC Rising Star Talent Program

 

The purpose of our Southern Cross Cricket RISING STAR program is to identify and support talented young cricketers aged between 16 and 20 with SCC gear. We will select by application 10 players per season.

All applications can be submitted during the months of May and June each year. Successful Rising Star Players will be notified during the month of July each year.

 

In return for this support, SCC is expecting you to become our brand ambassador for the duration of our relationship and we require you to connect with your cricketing network to share your experience with SCC and help us gain positive awareness for our brand, product range and our cricket community.

What we give you as a SCC Rising Star

  • Your gear will be sold to you at wholesale price, which is 50% off RRP. You will be expected to acquire the full kit offered.
  • The kit comprises of 2 x Customised SCC Bats, 2 x sets of Gloves, 1 x set of pads, 1 x Personal Kit Bag, 1 x thigh guard. The Total Retail Value is $1300 - the 50% discounted price is $650
  • We will also provide ongoing maintenance and servicing of your bats.
  • You will also receive 1 x SCC Polo, 1 x SCC Cap 1 x SCC Hoody

 

What we require from you as a Rising Star.

  • Social Media Followers:  We would expect you to have started some social media presence with friends, family and your cricketing community via Instagram/Facebook and be willing to support our brand by incorporating into your personal posts the following:
    • 1 x monthly post (min) incorporating SCC product on FB and/or Insta incl. hashtags #SCC #southerncrosscricket 5 x images/videos (min) sent to the social media team incorporating SCC product in different settings 1 x Product review (min) video.
    • Engagement: On or above average for follower base Content Type: Cricket/ Training sessions/Match day photos of (12 posts minimum)
    • Some photos or stories from games played, achievement’s/ team selections

 

  1. Commercial Contract – National or International Players

The third way SCC can offer support via partnerships is a commercial contract. We will research potential players of interest and contact their managers for discussions.

 

  • These players are selected by us and will be senior men and women who play at national or international senior standard.
  • All contracts will be commercial in confidence.
